MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally into Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received a Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for the year 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. In the following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina that year. Later in 2021 he performed the duet for the TINI streaming hit single Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo was born into a musical family, his elder brother and mom are also musicians. In interviews, he described the importance of music as a requirement. In his early years, he learned how to play the saxophone, the ukulele, and piano. The first choice for his career was to be a vet However, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn how to sing under the help of a Cuban instructor. It was the result that he discovered his own talent for singing and transformed his career path.
